When the wanderer crossed the river, he was greeted by a parrot, and the parrot granted him to know a secret.

“How do I get everything that I need?”, the wanderer asked.

The parrot replied to the wanderer:

“You can either have something or need something, but not both.
The moment you need something, you stop having it.
The moment you stop needing it, you have an infinite amount of it.

Because you already have an infinite amount of everything, what else can you get? What is it that you need? Whatever it is, you’ll never have it.

So you can have everything except what you need.

You’ve always had an infinite amount of everything until the moment you said that you need something.

All you need are the things that you need.
What was before you needed the things that you need?
You didn’t need anything.”

The wanderer understood and asked the parrot: “I understand, but why is that, why can’t I have what I need?”

The parrot replied:

“You can either choose Love or choose fear, but not both. You can either choose Truth or choose lie, but not both.

The moment you decide to have something, you choose Love, the moment you decide to need something, you choose fear. The moment you decide to have something, you choose Truth, the moment you decide to need something, you choose lie.

So the only thing I can tell you, dear wanderer: no matter what you do, do it out of Love, and not out of fear.”
